JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide laborious support for project needs and potentially operate a variety of light equipment, tractors and trucks in order to execute any or all aspects of heavy civil/energy market construction, land management, spill cleanup & remediation, and/or agriculture production.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: In a work crew setting, the Labor I is responsible for supervising, operating hand and power tools in a safe, appropriate and efficient manner in order to maximize task completion while minimizing the risk of property damage, injury or loss of life. The Labor must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures. Additional light equipment operating responsibilities may be required of Labor as needed and related to heavy civil construction, energy market construction, land management, spill cleanup & remediation, and/or agriculture production tasks.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Safely and productively operate light duty equipment, hand and power tools by controlling the function of the tool/equipment/machinery and its attachments/implements

        • Follow all Endeavor Energy Resources procedures and policies.
        • Follow all customer safety and contractor policies.
        • Perform all job tasks safely.
        • Keep all work areas clean and organized.
        • Perform remediation on spill cleanups by shoveling, raking, aerating soil and cleaning adjacent equipment.
        • Perform landscaping, land management, and agriculture production related tasks.
2. Inspect, maintain, and cleaning equipment
        
• Perform pre-operation inspections and documentations, per machine/shift.
        • Perform fueling, greasing, dirt and debris build-up removal, and post-operation inspections and documentation, per machine/shift.
        • Thoroughly clean interior and exterior of equipment as scheduled and/or required.
        • Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored.
        • Advise the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
        • Participating in maintenance or repairs as needed.
        • Participate in inventory upkeep.
3. Perform miscellaneous and other related tasks as assigned
       
 • Use and operation of small equipment and tools such as jack hammers, tillers, mowers, weed-eaters, chain saws, and water & trash pumps as needed.
        • Use of power and hand tools for lifting, shoveling, raking, sawing, planting, etc. to complete detail work associated with project tasks.
        • Other tasks as assigned.

    Must have knowledge or be able to learn in the following areas:

Safety procedures for tractor, truck and light equipment.
        • Equipment cleaning standards and procedures.
        • Workplace safety requirements and procedures.

Education and Experience
 
       • 2-3 years of experience minimum in a leadership role.
        • 0-1 years of experience minimum working with environmental cleanups.
        • High School Diploma or GED required.

Requirements

        • Willingness to rework incorrect tasks completed by oneself or others.
        • Ability to inspect completed work to ensure it meets customer specifications.
        • Work hours outside of a normal work shift.
        • Work overtime hours as needed.

Physical Demands
   The labor has a physically strenuous and demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling and managing heavy equipment and objects.He/she will have to work in all weather, and must be      prepared for both extreme heat and cold. He/she must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.
        • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
        • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
        • Ability to work in a hot or cold environment, in or out of the weather.
        • Ability to work safely around heavy equipment.
        • Ability to use PPE.
        • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
        • Ability to push and pull loads up to 90 lbs.

Environmental Conditions
The labor must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. Job duties will regularly be performed during periods of impaired visibility due to     sunrise, sunset, night work, fog rain, etc. Due to the explicit nature of the work, surroundings will be under a state of constant change. He/she will be exposed to inherently hazardous    buried, overhead, and ground level situations and conditions that could cause serious injury or death to themselves or others if safety procedures are not strictly followed.

Sensory Demands
At times could be exposed the following hazards capable of causing serious injury or death:
      
  • Work during times of environmental caused visibility impairment.
        • Airborne particles including dirt, dust, fumes, and smoke.
        • Loud noises above hearing damage threshold.
        • Fluids under extreme pressure and/or heat.
        • Sparks or other flying and/or falling objects/debris.
        • Sharp, abrasive, extremely hot or cold objects and/or surfaces.
        • Dangerous and/or toxic substances.
        • Collision and/or pinch point potentials.

His/her vision, hearing, smell, and touch senses must function, or be corrected to function, so that constant and continual awareness and assessment of hazards, surroundings and situations can be performed in order to safely and efficiently execute job duties.

Mental Demands

Must at times work independently and at other times work amidst numerous other equipment, trucks, personnel and structures and is expected to maintain a schedule of work. A high level of continuous concentration will be required to safely and efficiently execute job duties. Any problems or inconveniences may result in increased stress to complete tasks in a limited time.

        • Equipment Specific Certification
